How to prepare for a media interview

Spend ten minutes on the journalist. Read their last five pieces. You will know what they care about and how they write. Spend ten minutes on your three messages. Sharpest first, in language a reader will quote. Spend the last ten minutes on the question you are dreading. Write the bridge that moves it back to your message. Done well, this is more preparation than 90% of interviewees do.
