Media training – handling press interviews
“Media training” is a day-long practical workshop that offers delegates the chance to test their interview skills against professional journalists.
There are so many spokespeople all fighting for journalists’ attention today. Media training ensures you ut their point across to the public in the most concise and time-efficient manner – something any journalist will appreciate.
The aim
Delegates walk away with an understanding of three things:
- How journalists work
- What preparation they should consider
- The techniques to navigate a worst-case scenario interview
The content
This interactive session is spent looking at the three components and putting skills to the test. During the workshop, delegates are quizzed several times, either on camera, face-to-face or on the phone.
Each workshop is tailored to an individual’s requirements, with plenty of feedback for everyone. Whether you are a beginner or a media master, we use print, audio and broadcast techniques to test the toughest of talkers.
Delegates receive a powerpoint workbook and keep their filmed interviews.
Variations of this course are offered focussing on:
- Beginner to advanced levels
- Newspapers
- Crises
- Broadcast
Most competent spokespeople have had media training – are you as good at telling stories as you could be?
